Hai la Joc is a dance group for international dance in Groningen that enthusiastically rehearses weekly and performs on average once a month. Under capable leadership, we continue to strive to improve both our dance technique as well as appearance and presentation. Hai la joc has an extensive number of international choreographies: from Dutch to Bulgarian, from Turkish to Mexican. We dance in matching costumes, either from the region itself or made by ourselves according to original models. Folklor Dansemble Amersfoort

Folklor Dansemble Amersfoort provides performances in folkloric dance led by Wijnand Karel; dance leader and choreographer. FDA has a versatile and extensive repertoire. We dance choreographies from Bulgaria, Macedonia, Slovakia, Hungary and Serbia, but also from Russia, Turkey, Germany and Norway.

In addition, we have a modern Dutch repertoire, with dances and original costumes from all over the Netherlands.. Each choreography tells a story about life, love or saying goodbye. In this way we allow both our own culture and international cultures to live on.

The dances are performed in beautiful, colorful and authentic costumes, often from Wijnand's private collection. His love for national and international costumes completes our folklore. FDA not only dances in the Netherlands, we also can regularly be found at festivals abroad. In recent years we have been on a festival trip to Poland, Macedonia, Romania and Hungary. At foreign festivals we mainly show our Dutch repertoire, although the local population is often very impressed by our knowledge and skills of their culture. When we dance together, we are all reminded to what it means to folk dance: having fun with each other, forgetting boundaries and making new friendships.
